Its members produce a variety of products including bar, rod, wire, angles, plate, sheet and strip, in stainless steel and other specialty steels. The Steel Tube Institute of North America, founded in 1930, promotes the responsible growth, prosperity and competitiveness of the steel tubing industry. STI collects and disseminates information on manufacturing techniques and data and analysis on growth areas, market trends and product applications. STI provides information to customers on tubular products. Active members are producers of mechanical, pressure HSS, standard, sprinkler and conduit pipe. Associates are suppliers of raw materials and equipment to the tubular products industry.
