Engineer, architect, and designer Cecil Balmond, founder of Balmond Studio, will discuss his work with Pratt Institute professor Catherine Ingraham in an event sponsored by the Steel Institute of New York.

Balmond has been hailed as one of the most important forces in contemporary architecture today and in 2003 received the prestigious RIBA Charles Jencks award for Theory in Practice. He is also the recipient of the Gengo Matsui prize, one of the highest prizes for engineering given in Japan. In conversation with Pratt’s Graduate Architecture and Urban Design Professor Catherine Ingraham, the evening will surely prove to be an exciting event.
