In spite of the economic downturn, the MRP steel mill in South Plainfield, New Jersey, is bumping up production. As supplier for 40 percent of the fabricated steel for the $3.1 billion One World Trade Center project, the company is running seven days a week and has nearly doubled its workforce in the past year to help supply the 46,000 tons of steel needed for the 102-story building.
